Bruce Humphrey, President and CEO

Bruce has been married to his wife Christina since 1981, and they have three adult children, Adam, Jacquelyn and Courtney. Bruce has been with Humphrey-Miles since 1962, and has been President and CEO since 1990. Always wanting to be in the forefront of funeral service, Bruce has been responsible for creating the Bereavement Services & Community Education department of Humphrey-Miles in 1993, and he founded Basic Funeral Services in 1994. Community involvement is important to him, leading him to participate as President of the Leaside Lions Club (1979), Division Chairman for the Hospital for Sick Children Capital Campaign (1987), Member of the Board of Governors of Centennial College (1997-2000), Advisory Committee Member of the Touchstone Youth Centre (1990-1997); Charter Committee Member for the United Way of Greater Toronto, as well as many others. His corporate experience encompasses the positions of President of the Ontario Funeral Service Association (2004), President of the International Order of the Golden Rule (1998), various positions on the Board of Funeral Services of Ontario (1998-2004), and Board Member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes (1987).

Joseph has been a licensed funeral director for over 27 years at Humphrey-Miles. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Toronto Council #1388, a board member of the Governor's Council for North York General Hospital and former President of the Toronto and District Funeral Director's Association.

Charles has been in the funeral profession since 1980 and joined Humphrey Funeral Home in 1995. He has been a member of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church since 1981. Charles is a member and director of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Toronto, Director of the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs, the English Speaking Union (Toronto/Hamilton branch), The Ontario Club at 1 King West and Black Tie International. He is an avid traveler and cook.

Joseph was born and raised in St. Thomas, Ontario. He received his funeral director's license in 1988 and joined Humphrey-Miles in 2006. Joseph is the proud father of two children, and is co-chairperson of their school. He enjoys all sports, in his spare time, and assists coaching his son's hockey team.

Lisa is originally from Tillsonburg, Ontario. She graduated from the Funeral Service Education Program at Humber College in 1993 and then moved west to Calgary, Alberta. In 1994 she also earned her Alberta Funeral Directors License under the employ of McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes Ltd. and began her career in funeral service. In 2002 Lisa relocated back to her native Province of Ontario, accepting a position in Ottawa with Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. In 2007 she was selected to join the staff of Humphrey-Miles and brings with her 17 years of experience in funeral service. Lisa shares her home with her pug dog Wrigley. On a regular basis, Wrigley and Lisa can be found visiting seniors at retirement and nursing homes. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys skiing, golfing and travelling to the Caribbean.

Melissa is originally from Chatham where she began her career in funeral services with the Alexander Funeral Home, before attending Humber College Funeral Service Education. After receiving her Funeral Directors license in 2004 she joined the staff at Humphrey - Miles. Melissa is a member of both the Toronto and District Funeral Directors Inc. and The Ontario Funeral Service Association.

Kim has been a licensed funeral director since 1976. Kim is an active member of the Rotary Club of Toronto, the Royal Canadian Military Institute, Bayview Community Hospice, The Churchill Society and The St. George's Society. He is married to Rebecca and they have one son, Jake.
