Richard Farmer, CA, BM,, Vice President, Financial Operations Email: rick@humphreymiles.com Toll Free Phone: 1-800-616-3311 Office Phone: 416-487-4523 Fax: 416-487-4395 Richard joined Humphrey Miles in 2002 and is a Licensed Chartered Accountant as well as a graduate from the University of Waterloo (Bachelor of Mathematics).  Richard brought with him many years of business experience from several different industries.  He is the current Chairman of the Board for the Touchstone Youth Centre (volunteer position) and is a member of the York District Chartered Accountants Association.  Richard is married to Marilyn and they have  a  daughter, Lauren.  Hobbies are golf, baseball, traveling and bowling.

Janis Heinbuch, Vice President, Coordinator of Special Events Email: janis@humphreymiles.com Toll Free Phone: 1-800-616-3311 Office Phone: 416-487-4523 Fax: 416-487-4395 Janis joined Humphrey-Miles in 1987 as the Executive Assistant to the President.  In 1992 her responsibilities expanded to include supervising the hostess staff, who are responsible for answering telephones, greeting the public and staffing receptions at our facility.  Janis joined the Toronto-Leaside Rotary Club in 2001 and has completed her second term as President of the Club.  She married Steve in 1989, is the caregiver for her mother and her mother's dog.  Having no children of her own, she is known as Auntie Jan to family and friends.  Janis's hobbies include traveling, knitting, reading and gardening.

Lois Humphrey, Former Secretary and Officer Fully retired from active participation in 2003.  In 2008 celebrated her 90th birthday.  Wife of Thomas (deceased in 2002) and mother of Bruce.

Carrie Tsandilis, Special Services Coordinator Email: director@humphreymiles.com Website: www.humphreymiles.com Toll Free Phone: 1-800-616-3311 Office Phone: 416-487-4523 Fax: 416-488-4395 Carrie Tsandilis joined Humphrey-Miles in 1993 as a hostess.  Through her dedication and hard work Carrie moved into the position of Special Services Coordinator, working with the Humphrey-Miles families to produce Orders of Services, Prayer Cards, portraits and DVDs.  Carrie has been married for 5 years to Terry; they have one child, Abigail and a second one is due this spring.  Carrie's hobbies include fishing, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Christina Humphrey, VP Married to Bruce, mother of three children, ran Flowers by Humphrey for many years and is now in charge of the internal design and decorating of the funeral home.

Kate Gilbert

Kate has been a licensed funeral director in Toronto since 1997 and is a member of the Ontario Funeral Service Association.  She is married to Dale and has a stepdaughter Jade.

Karen Wong

Karen has been with Humphrey-Miles since 1985, working in the accounting department.  She enjoys travelling, and has been volunteering her time at Toronto East General Hospital for the last few years, working the information desk on weekends.

Gina Zegas

Gina has been with Humphrey-Miles as an administrative assistant to the staff since January, 2008.  She really enjoys being a part of the Humphrey family and team.  Gina is married and has one daughter.  She loves to scrapbook and make cards, as well as shop and take walks.

Catherine McEachern

Catherine has been with Humphrey-Miles since December, 2007.  Her motto is “families come first.”  She also volunteers at Canada Blood Services in the Manulife Centre and occasionally with the Leaside Rotary Club.  One of Catherine’s joys is dancing to rock-and-roll music.

Doreen Pattison

Doreen has been with Humphrey-Miles since 2002.  She enjoys spending weekends at the family cottage in Muskoka with her husband, two girls, family and friends.  Doreen is also a caregiver for her 91-year-old father.  She loves to shop, travel, and go out to dinner with friends.

Sarah Penny

Sarah has enjoyed working as a part-time Hostess at Humphrey-Miles since November, 2008. She graduated from York this spring with an Honours Degree in Psychology. Sarah plans to pursue a career in Bereavement Counselling.

Andrea Nikolic

Andrea has been a hostess with Humphrey-Miles since 1995.  You’ll often find her reading a best seller or mystery novel.  Andrea also works as a special education assistant for the Toronto District School Board.

Dorothy Palen

Dottie has been a hostess with Humphrey-Miles since May of 2001.  She and her husband have two daughters and four grandchildren.  Outside of work, Dorothy enjoys assisting with her grandchildren, as well as reading, gardening and attending live theatre.

Margita Brdar

Margita has been a hostess with Humphrey-Miles since 2005.  Her greatest joy are her grandchildren.  Margita enjoys baking, cooking and sightseeing in Toronto.

Kevin Docherty

Kevin joined Humphrey-Miles in 1998 as our organist.  He is also the organist/choirmaster of St. Leonard’s Anglican Church in North Toronto.  In his spare time, Kevin is a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Theatre Organ Society, and a Past President and active member of the Beaver Bible Class.

Warren Torch, C.Ht.

Warren entered funeral service in 1970 as a Director with Clarke, MacGillivray, White in Montreal.  He interrupted this career path to spend several years as a radio personality.  Warren joined Humphrey-Miles in 1990.
